***Finite Math, Applied Calculus and now Logic on the Web***

The following resources are available on the WWW at

(1) Detailed topic summaries for finite math and applied basic calculus
(18 topics in all) including definitions, basic formulas, and outlines
of procedures

(2) 18 Clickable true-false quizzes covering all the main topics usually
covered in a two-semester course on applied finite math and calculus

(3) A growing collection of miscellaneous exercises (submissions of new
exercises welcome!)

(4) New: A comprehensive chapter-length text resource for elementary
logic for high school students and college students of liberal arts and
business. This includes complete text material covering elementary
propositional calculus, extensive exercise sets, communication and
reasoning exercises, and answers to odd-numbered exercises. (This
coverage is significantly broader and more detailed than that found in
most finite math texts, and, above all, it's free!)

Although the resources (other than logic) are arranged to follow the
chapters of "Finite Mathematics Applied to the Real World" and
"Calculus Applied to the Real World" (which we advertise at the web
site), the student resources are for the most part quite generic, and
thus independent of the text.

Comments and suggestions for improvement most welcome. Watch the site
for free Macintosh graphing and pivoting software, which we shall
shortly be adding!

Sincerely,
Stefan Waner

PS. The website uses sub- and superscripts, and tables, and has been
tested on Netscape 2.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 2.0. Please email
me with comments and suggestions.
