As of today Ann and Liv have been in Antarctica one week.  Our site now has
an interactive route map that tracks the explorers' daily progress.  To

To be able to listen to the audio updates you need to have Apple's
QuickTime.  If you don't have QuickTime go to
box that says "QuickTime Get 4," click on the box and download.  Make sure
to restart your computer after you have downloaded the program.

Weather in Antarctica

Antarctica has been described as having some of the harshest weather
conditions in the world.  Learn about Antarctica's weather and the types of
conditions Ann and Liv will be facing during the current Polar Activity.

GO THE DISTANCE CHALLENGE

How are you and your students progressing with the "Go the Distance
challenge?"  I got an e-mail from Lynn Arnold, a teacher in Ecuador, whose
students have gone more than 500 miles!  Can anybody top that?  E-mail me

you and your students.  Every message has been read and we do our best to
answer the questions on the message board.  We continue to be in awe of the
kind words of individuals who have been inspired by this Expedition.  Keep
