***[[[ ZIPZAP FRANCE ]]]***
Created by the French cultural Service in London,
ZipZap France was designed to teach British kids about
France in a light-hearted, yet informative way.
Available in a French and English version, this
colourful Website uses text and illustrations to
explain different aspects of France's culture
including:
* Different topics such as France in Europe
and around the world, French food, French
history, and France's nickname, the "hexagone."
* The top ten topics identified by British youth
when they think of France.
* A mini hypertext dictionary with links to
descriptions of French words (semi-developed.)
Suitable for intermediate and junior secondary
students, this Website would be useful for French
teachers looking to increase their students'
awareness of France's culture.
France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also has a
Website with links to 200 photos of France.
Available with captions in a variety of languages,
including English and French, photos are organized
into categories ranging from culture to sports to
villages. Please note, I found this site quite slow
to load.
Thanks to Christina Drabik for contributing this
Nugget.
Nous espérons que vous rouverez la visite de ces web
fort intéressante.
