Obviously, this is for French and German second-language
teachers, from beginner through senior secondary level.
The Modern Foreign Languages site in the U.K. provides
lesson plans, grammar practice, and project work.
"Lesson plans are grouped under specific topics or
areas of grammar, but they can be used as stand-alone
lessons. All plans include printable vocabulary and
grammar sheets, worksheets, classroom activities with
resources, and extra links to online exercises and
vocabulary games, grammar explanation and practice..."
I was intrigued by the "cover work" lesson plans.
New term to you? It refers to lessons which can be
administered for you by substitute teachers, classroom
volunteers, or other non-linguists who cover for you.
The site is supported by a modest amount of advertising.
I could not trace its ownership, but it appears to be
related to the many excellent educational Websites at
www.byteachers.org.uk , otherwise known as the
Association of Teachers' Websites.
