TURNING POINT:
Native Peoples & Newcomers On-line
... A Respectful Meeting Place...

Turning Point offers cyber-space for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people in Canada to have open and direct communication with each other.

This site offers itself as a dynamic and respectful meeting place for First Nations, Metis, Inuit and diverse non-Aboriginal peoples -- a turning point from which we can look back and move ahead, in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation. Yourquote re invited to use Turning Point to:

  • share ideas and information,
  • challenge and support others,
  • reflect and prepare yourself to act, and
  • listen and express yourself.

Turning Point just asks you to be "hard on problems, but soft on people."

If you click on this logo, it will take you right into the Turning Point's Talking Circle.

There you will find issues of all kinds being discussed, many of which address education and public awareness.

From the Talking Circle page, you can use the buttons on Turning Point to look around the rest of the site. Don't miss the page called Vision, where you can learn about their beautiful logo.

CAAS, one of the organizational sponsors of Turning Point, is using Turning Point to request information and views on topics of concern to the educators who ask for assistance through our site's Help Line.

The site's moderators - Mary Alice Smith and Victoria Freeman - read more about them under About Us on the Turning Point site - review both the content and tone of all submissions for relevance and respect.

Happy learning and sharing! May you meet some new friends and exchange some understandings.
